ABOUT US

Bank on Central Texas is a community initiative led by United Way Capital Area and PeopleFund to bring together banks, credit unions, financial services providers, government, private sector, community organizations, and nonprofits to bring more people into the financial mainstream.

5 Facets of Bank On Central Texas


We have built the program upon five core components:

  • Creating public awareness on the importance of being “banked”;
  • Encouraging action and access to financial products and services for the un- and under-banked;
  • Providing high-quality financial education programs through partner organizations;
  • Incubating and testing innovative products targeted to the un- and under-banked; and
  • Promoting research and public policy on this important topic.
